Why don't we remember past lives?

The Mystery of life after death and the following reincarnation is a topic that has always aroused many doubts and questions. Among the most frequent questions that man asks himself is the question of why if we have existed since time immemorial and reincarnate in various existences, we cannot remember past lives and experiences? The answer is easier and more obvious than it might seem. In the Plan of evolution, as well as in the mind of every man, not every single moment of our life is preserved, but only the most important experiences, those that forge the character and mark our existence. Even at other times, even if particular places or events experienced are not remembered, we have a vague and undefined memory in our memory or some feeling of having already lived or visited a certain place. Why? This happens very well not only with regard to past lives, but also in this present life. In fact, just think that if they told us where we were a certain number of years ago, on a particular day, we would surely reply that we do not remember. Nevertheless, we can confidently affirm that we existed and lived, experienced sensations, etc. on that exact day.
However, it is not a question of a lack of memory due to the long time that has elapsed since the event, so much so that we can accurately remember an even more remote date of our childhood if this has marked a profound sensation or experience in us.
Other times, however, even if unaware of the events that occurred in the past, we behave with a character and reasoning forged precisely by these experiences "apparently removed" from a mind that has preferred to forget certain painful experiences etc ... to avoid suffering, but nevertheless live in us in a latent and subtle way, almost unconscious. Examples of this type may be childhood traumas that affect our life but that often we no longer remember having had them despite having left their mark on our character.
The same happens in reincarnation and memories of past lives. In the great Divine Plan, clear and detailed memories of past lives do not play a fundamental role, not only do they not benefit the embodied soul but are also counterproductive and imbued with attachments of joy and pain. Imagine if all men remembering past lives, should accept with resignation the distance, the detachment of our loved ones, or accept that our worst enemy of the previous life, now lives as our son or partner.
Reality tears open the veil of Maya's illusion, the Creator knows well that each individual is but a projection of the One. Each man is nothing but a teaching for the consciousness of the individual atma, and his purpose is only to free and not to create attachments with kinship, fictitious and temporary physical bonds. What matters for evolution are not the pleasures of the individual Ego, but the final liberation of the individual soul in the Self.
The important thing therefore, are the experiences, virtues and weaknesses that in fact we "save" in our Atmic or Akashic memory, which will be resumed in the next incarnation, with a new scenario and new actors suitable for our evolution in this Divine drama of existence. . In conclusion we can say that we do not remember past lives, not because we did not exist, but only because this would not be of any use in our evolutionary plan, but only for our ego, which would even suffer enormously, remembering in addition to some pleasant episodes , also all the traumas, the pains, the separations from loved ones, the deaths suffered that would cause a confusional and difficult state for the new existence.
